MY APPROACH
"You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it's better to listen to what it has to say."
-The Alchemist
Psychotherapy is a process that allows for healing and meaningful connection both within yourself and in your relationships with others. As your therapist I would take great care in hearing your story and in providing a compassionate space where you can share and explore what you need. I work with individuals, couples, and families across a spectrum of identities and backgrounds on their path toward wholeness.

I practice primarily from a relational psychodynamic lens, meaning I believe the therapeutic relationship is the primary source through which healing and change occurs. I believe that we are complex beings with many parts and that harmony with all parts of ourselves is possible. My therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and strongly influenced by mindfulness practice. I also draw from internal family systems, narrative therapy, and body/somatic perspectives in our work together.

I have tremendous respect for the therapeutic relationship and each person's story. I believe that developing insight into your own inner life allows for deeper recovery and meaning making. I welcome you to come as you are with any uncertainties, frustrations, or turmoil. All of your experiences matter in this process of living your life with greater ease and purpose.
SERVICES
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy can allow you to develop a stronger sense of self, deepen your relationships with others, and heal from trauma. Past struggles and current patterns of feelings and thoughts can cause strain on your sense of self and your relationships. I primarily work from a relational psychodynamic orientation and also include my training from narrative therapy, internal family systems, and somatic experiencing (body work). I specialize in working with adults with complex trauma, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIP
Another main focus in my practice is the parent-child relationship. I work with parents in helping them better understand the struggles of their children while deepening their understanding of themselves. I have worked with parents and children in a variety of settings through a vast range of issues and situations. I have been trained in play therapy and sandtray which has helped me comprehend the deeper inner workings of a child's worldview. I no longer work with children individually as I have found my own role is better served in caring for the heart of the parent.
COUPLES THERAPY
In couples therapy, I will help you and your partner identify your relational goals and work on practical skills to achieve them. My approach to couples therapy uses the understanding of attachment theory and psychobiology to facilitate co-regulation between partners and move the couple to a secure-functioning relationship. This approach allows couples to better understand and appreciate each others needs and helps the couple get "unstuck" from cycles of unproductive arguing. Through this work you and your partner will be able to create a deeper, meaningful connection, and a shared vision for your relationship.
